MidWestirish.com A long time ago... or more specifically, August 5, 2005, the inspiration for a MidWestIrish.com hit me like a ton of bricks. In an instant, I had envisioned a website devoted to preserving Irish-American culture, recording information that would prove both uniquely personal and culturally significant. It was not until April 21, 2006, that my technical skills and available time caught up with my vision. By that time, I had registered the space, taught myself Adobe GoLive and created a basic design. Once online, there was only one thing missing the stories! Those were not long in coming. Within only a few weeks, I had article after article coming online. Dearbhail Finnegan, harpist from County Meath. Greg Bailey, fiddle player, of Stone County, Missouri. Merl Lawless, Highland games masters' division, Springfield, Illinois. The list has just continued to grow. You can head on over from here. I think you may agree. There's not another website to match. Visit www.MidWestIrish.com by clicking here. |
